INVITATION TO ASCENTi-CNC 2009 Dear Sir/Madam, It is our great pleasure to invite you to the MTTRF and ASCENTi-CNC Annual Meeting 2009. The Machine Tool Technologies Research Foundation (MTTRF) was established in 2003 for the purpose of supporting the research and education activities on the promotion of machine tool technologies. Its operation was started in 2004 by granting equipment loan awards and scholarship awards to university professors and research scholars. The first annual conference was held on June 28, 2004 as a two-day program titled MTTRF and OMNI-CNC 2004 Annual Meeting organized by IMS-Mechatronics Laboratory of the University of California at Davis. Since 2004, MTTRF has been holding this annual meeting every year to present the results of supported research performed by professors and scholars. The first half day of this year’s meeting is devoted to report the progress of the 5-year ASCENTi-CNC project that has been carried out since October, 2008. The second half day and the next full day will be the MTTRF Annual Meeting 2009 covering awardees’ reports of last and this year. The venue of this meeting is Grand Hyatt Shanghai, Hill, located in the centre of Pudong, Shanghai's financial and business district. An impressive Huangpu river sunset cruise will be provided to conclude this meeting. We will be grateful if you could kindly join us in the meeting to learn and evaluate our research and promotion activities through the communication with attendees. We look forward to welcoming you to the MTTRF and ASCENTi-CNC 2009 Annual Meeting.
Sincerely yours, Kazuo Yamazaki Professor & Director IMS-Mchatronics Laboratory University of California Davis |
